Vice-President Organization Report

This is my first report to the Provincial Council since assuming the role of Vice-President Organization in December 2024. I am honoured to build on the foundation laid by my predecessor and to continue serving our membership across the province.

Over the past few months, I have worked closely with my colleagues on the Executive Council, most especially the nine Regional Vice Presidents, as well as OLP staff and the Campaign team, to support riding associations and local associations in preparing for Doug Ford's unnecessary election. The dedication of the RVPs, PLA executives, and commissions remains the backbone of our party's continued growth, and I'm grateful for the collaborative spirit that has emerged since December.

Joining Executive Council so close to the election, and having already been supporting the campaign in other ways, my primary focus upon assuming the role has been Weekly Management Committee meetings, participating in strategic discussions to align our organizational priorities with broader party objectives, and Chairing the Org. 124 Committee, reviewing and working with the RVPS to support region- and riding-level election readiness endeavours.

The 2025 election results, including regaining official party status, increasing OLP's vote share to 30%, and being the only party to gain ground, are a testament to the hard work of local campaigns and candidates province wide. The results also laid bare that we still have work to do, and it will be a substantial undertaking to ensure every association is fully equipped to engage voters and prepare for the next provincial election.

Looking forward, our collective success will depend on sustained, coordinated effort. I am digging into creating an updated riding health and election readiness strategy that I am eager to work with this exceptional team to advance. I encourage all members to stay involved between election cycles, whether by lending time or expertise to a local association, helping with member and voter engagement, or helping build the war chest that will fund our next campaign.

There is no shortcut to rebuilding the grassroots. The seeds we sow today will take a few seasons to become established, to bear fruit. But bear fruit they shall, and I look forward to continuing the important work of the Ontario Liberal Party's renewal with you – and to electing Premier Crombie in 2029!
